Culture Heritage Emergency Protection Project Startup Inauguration Ceremony

The damage repair work on the culture heritage site Sultan Poor Chnnee has been started with official inauguration ceremony organised by BRD, in which more than 100 participants consisting of the, national and provincial authorities, BRD management, district authorities, representatives of Sikh Community and Muslim community. They appreciated BRD, Prince Clause Fund and ALIPH support for protecting these important sites and committed their full support during the implementation of the project and future maintenance and safeguarding of the sites.  The level of participation in the opening ceremony, showing a tremendous support for the projects both from the local authorities and targeted communities both Sikhs and Muslim, which indicates the local ownership and sustainability of the project and will be the key for mitigating any security challenges or other barrier during the project implementation.
