Protection of Jam Minaret Through Flood Mitigation Action
We are pleased to share that, in responses to the recent flooding affected the existing protection of Jam Minaret, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in western Afghanistan. This 62-meter (203 feet) or 65-meter (213 feet) high minaret, built around 1190 AD. It will be a great honour for BRD to contribute toward protection of this voluble world asset. The response is launched through support from UNESCO Kabul in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and culture of Afghanistan.
